“It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end.” ― Ernest Hemingway
I spent more than two years planning the itinerary for our around-the-world odyssey. I’m one of those people who needs to know about everything out there before making a choice. And the choices for this trip were made very deliberately with my children in mind.
Many years of international travel has taught me this: Do instead of see, especially when traveling with kids. So when you view our itineraries, you’ll see that there are only a limited number of museums, churches or temples. I’ve sought to seek out experiences that will be educational, memorable, and fun.
As we make our way around the world, we will be posting the itineraries that we followed here, complete with information about attractions, activities, hours, and costs… everything you would need to embark on an adventure of your own! If something ends up not being worth our time or the expense, we’ll let you know, so that you can learn from our mistakes.
Even if you’re not inclined to travel around the world, perhaps one of our destinations will wet your appetite for family travel. If so, we wish you safe travels!
